Ed Zenzola, Coach
Ed Zenzola has been the President of an $800 million Asian chemical business of a Fortune 100 company and a Financial Officer of a $3 billion dollar publicly traded company. Throughout his career, he has been solving business problems and adding value to businesses. With experience in both operations and finance, he has developed a deep understanding of value drivers and the process for implementing them. Ed has used metrics, such as Economic Value Added (EVA), and has utilized tools, such as Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Balanced Scorecard. He has applied these and other tools to all manufacturing functions, from production to supply chain to sales and marketing.
Ed also has an excellent understanding of the issues involving corporate governance and internal management control. His combined operating and financial background gives him valuable insight into the process of successfully growing a business while controlling costs, building customer satisfaction and enhancing employee enthusiasm.
With more than 30 years of experience in domestic and international executive assignments, Ed has developed and staffed organizations in Europe, Asia and the United States, including the implementation of company integration plans following mergers and acquisitions. Leadership and management responsibility for an international staff of 500 people, as well as P&L responsibility, has given him first-hand knowledge and appreciation of the challenges facing developing businesses.
Ed is in Drexel University’s mentor program for MBA students and participates in Drexel’s Interview Skills Workshops and Business Plan Competitions. Additionally, Ed is a Career Counselor for the Women’s Resource Center and offers career counseling for entry-level college graduates to senior executives. Ed also is the past Chair of the International Executives subgroup of Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group (GPSEG), and is currently the Co-Chair of the International Executives Resource Group (IERG), Philadelphia chapter.
